What is Yoga 308
Life is a constant struggle of balancing our body on both a physical and emotional side. Through yoga I have learned several life lessons. Yoga 308 is a goal I set for myself to do at least 60 minutes of yoga for 6 days a week for the next year. I invite anyone to join me on this adventure as I blog about some of my daily experiences. This is not intended to show that I have found peace and tranquility, but rather give my honest feelings of my journey. Enjoy.

Take away who you are. Take away your job, car, house, and money. Take away the Iphone, the IPad, the 60" Television. Take away the alcohol, pot, and caffeine. Take away your parents, family, friends and pets. Take away their problems and take away your worries. Take away your health or your lack of health. Take away your future plans and the accomplishments you did or did not do. Take away the thoughts of who you are, were, and are supposed to be. Take away your thoughts that come to mind when you read this. What is left? How do you feel? Sit with this feeling, good or bad. This emotion has been trying to talk to you, but you have been avoiding it.
Allow this feeling to move through you. Do not try to force it back down. We spend our whole life learning ways that we can avoid our raw feelings and emotions. We become fearful of loosing these feelings or experiencing the "scary" ones. These feelings and emotions we avoid are actually the things that stop us from living our life. They are our true blockers that keep us from who we truly are. So stop and listen to your heart. Your heart has been trying to get your attention for some time now.
Do not fear who you truly are. Do not listen to the people who tell you who you are or supposed to be.
It is time to awake your soul.
